Contributor PRO is a free PRO pass that runs until the end of next month. It activates on its own as soon as you reach both monthly targets, and gives you the same access as a paid subscription.
The map is built by the people who use it.
Signalcrow’s towers, measurements and photos come largely from the community. People who keep that data accurate should not have to pay for the tools built on it.

Common questions.
Is it the same as paid PRO?
Yes. While your pass lasts you get the same access as a paying PRO member. If you stop earning it, your account goes back to the free plan when the pass ends.
Will my PRO run out between months?
Not if you earn it every month. Each pass lasts until the end of the following month, so next month’s pass always arrives before the current one ends, whichever day you reach the targets.
Does it matter which day of the month I earn it?
No. Wherever in the month you reach the targets, PRO lasts until the last day of the next month, so earning it early gives you more days, never fewer than 30.
Do I need to pay or add a card?
No. You only need a free account, so your contributions are linked to you.
When does the month start and end?
Progress follows the calendar month. On the 1st, points and active days start again from zero.
What counts as an active day?
Any day on which you earn at least one point. Signal readings from the app are scored overnight, so they count on the day they are processed.
How often can I earn it?
Once per calendar month. Each new pass extends PRO to the end of the month after it.
Why do some towers give more points?
Each tower has a multiplier of up to 5×. It grows the longer nobody has collected data there, the fewer readings exist nearby, and the more data types (photos, readings, speed tests) are missing.
Why did repeating an action earn fewer points?
Repeating the same kind of contribution at the same tower within 24 hours is worth less each time: about 61% the second time and 37% the third. New towers and new data are what improve the map.
I already pay for PRO. What happens?
Your pass is recorded, but it does not change, extend or pause your subscription.
Can a pass be revoked?
Yes, if the contributions behind it are not genuine, for example fabricated readings or photos.
Where do I see my progress?
In the Capture section of the app and the web map, on the Contributor PRO card. You also get a notification when the pass activates.
